Valeria Santarelli

I was born and raised in Ancona and as a child, thanks to a book left by my grandmother on a table, I discovered the world of books. That book was called Eragon by the writer Christopher Paolini and it catapulted me into the world of fantasy literature of which I am still a great fan. I became a voracious reader and later as a teenager also of manga, Japanese comics. Within a short time I also began to transcribe the first sentences, the first thoughts of a child for fun in colored notebooks until I got to writing poems. High school was the most prolific time, I wrote everywhere on school notice sheets, on torn notebook pages and in class and often it was even as long as the elfin fantasy ballads I loved to read. I also like to write short stories and stories in my free time. I love nature, the sky and the stars, in fact I am passionate about astronomy, which are also a great source of inspiration for my poems such as dreams. Im still a bit analogical, because I much prefer writing with paper and pen in hand to give voice to thoughts and emotions and unleash the imagination.
